Growing up in Berlin, Joanna Jankowska began to document her frequent travels to Poland where she partakes in the lives of her Masurian family. After receiving her formal education at Lette-Verein Berlin she worked as a fashion photographer in Bavaria. Just over a year ago she moved to Brooklyn, NY where her focus has since shifted to portrait photography. Led by curiosity and a genuine interest in personal stories her work also captures the naturalness of textures, shapes and colors and the interplay of nature with our modern lives.
